Located in the Dunedin/Clearwater area, this island state park is a peaceful, unspoiled escape from busy tourist beaches.

Best for: Couples and honeymooners

5. Main Beach, East Hampton, New York

The only Northeast beach to crack the top five, it is known for its peaceful village setting and towering sand dunes.
